oh my god, you said CR*P!
My parents are boring, I’m boring, we all drive black Hondas…

It’s like Bailey’s and coffee for children. Poor children. Poor, alcoholic children.
Tim Doland does bicycle restoration in Southern California (Facebook: abicycledoc4u). He sent me a nice picture of the Shwinn Super Sport restoration he recently did, and lo and behold he used a Gyes saddle to finish it off! The Gyes GS-06 in Honey Brown, to be exact.
Very cool to have Gyes saddles used to bring back the glory of some of these classic bikes.

I can’t decide if this is better or worse than the Rocky Rococo ad that Madison buses had a couple of years ago:

When it’s good, it’s great.
- spoke repair
- chain lube
- cables
- new front and rear lights
- new front and rear tires
- new tubes
- new handlebar tape
- rear rack and elastic net
- new pedals (egg beaters!)
- new shoes to use with new pedals
- some new tools
And a new helmet.
I have far exceeded the value of this bike this weekend. It’s a decent bike, it’s just 39 years old. The best part is I could have gotten by with a spoke fix and a good cleaning. Everything else was in okay shape. My excuse is that I did it fit safety. I love it.
Met up with some friends last night, decided to post some pictures of my car as it sits now:

This song reminds me of airplanes, I always listen to this album on airplanes.
I want to fly, I want to travel.

Two of the many reasons I cannot wait to go back to the midwest. Even if I don’t live in Milwaukee.
